Safe and Disciplined Schools

• Klein Police Department: The exceptional police officers of the first and finest school district police department in Texas were hard at work this summer, clocking over 5,000 hours of additional training in partnership with other local agencies to Keep Klein Safe. We are proud to have KPD on every campus in Klein ISD to help keep our kids and staff safe.
• Cross-Agency Safety Collaboration: This summer, we were honored to host a cross-agency collaborative with local law enforcement and other first responders, including medical and fire departments, to focus on strengthening our partnerships to continue ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and community members.
• Annual Staff Training: As part of our mandatory annual back-to-school training for staff, all employees have received enhanced safety training. These trainings will continue throughout the school year to ensure that we remain proactive in our learning about how to best keep our Klein students, staff, and community safe.
• Klein YOUniversity: To further enhance our partnership with parents, we’ve launched a series of workshops covering topics such as digital safety and mental health awareness, as well as prevention measures for drug and alcohol abuse, vaping, and more.

State Recognition for Klein ISD School Board

 

Triple A Excellence in Academics, the Arts, and Athletics

• The hard-working students in Klein ISD’s graduating Class of 2024 ended the year with a record-breaking $63,456,824 in scholarship funds, an increase of $15 million from 2023.
• Academic excellence continues with state and national wins for academic pentathlon and the highest number of National Merit Finalists in the last 5 years.
• Zwink and Klenk students in Klein ISD’s first dual language immersion cohorts graduated from 5th grade and earned high school credit by meeting the state’s rigorous criteria.
• In Athletics, we clinched back-to-back State athletic titles.
• And in the Fine Arts, we celebrate securing 13 years of consecutive national recognition for excellence in music education as a top-performing district in the arts.

 

2022 Bond Progress

 

• We’re excited to announce that the Northampton Colts are returning to their newly modernized 50+ year school this school year! Our Haude Jaguars will take their place at the Klein ISD Flex School as its 50+ year campus undergoes a complete modernization. In the coming years, the Flex School will house the elementary campuses of Greenwood Forest, Epps Island, and Theiss.
• Bond projects at Doerre, Hildebrandt, Kleb, Klein Cain, and Klein Oak are also wrapping up for students and staff to enjoy. In addition to Haude, renovations are underway at Strack and Klein Intermediate this year.
• Many of our elementary campuses received covered canopy car rider entrances that upgrade and modernize the outside of the school, as well as protect our students and staff from the heat and rain during arrival and dismissal.
