Klein ISD High Schools Earn Prestigious ‘Best in the US’ Ranking

Klein, TX – Klein Independent School District is thrilled to announce that Klein High, Klein Oak, Klein Collins, and Klein Cain have all been named among the “Best High Schools in the US” by U.S. News & World Report for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of nearly 18,000 public high schools nationwide. The evaluation criteria include college readiness, reading, math, and science proficiency, performance of underserved students, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.

Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown expressed her excitement about the district’s achievement. 

“These rankings are more than just numbers; they are a reflection of our longstanding tradition of excellence and innovation in education that culminates as students prepare to exit with their purpose,” Dr. McGown said. “It’s a proud moment for Klein ISD, and it validates our unique pathways designed to ensure that every student is college, career, military, and life ready.”

Klein ISD has always been focused on ensuring students in our system have a well-rounded education filled with opportunities to explore, embrace, and pursue their future endeavors.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our educators and students,” Chief Academic Officer Dr. Anthony Indelicato said. “Our shared vision of every student entering with a promise and exiting with a purpose is reflected in these rankings. We are committed to ensuring this standard of excellence.”

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are produced in collaboration with RTI International, a global research firm. The rankings are based on multiple sources of objective data, including state assessments and the U.S. Department of Education Common Core of Data.

“We couldn’t have achieved this without the dedication of our phenomenal teachers and staff in partnership with the support of our community,” Dr. McGown said. “It’s our collective effort that makes Klein ISD one of the best places to receive an education in our great Nation.”
